In a skills economy, what you've done is equally important with what you know. The Island Church internship will leave you with the experience necessary to be an outstanding leader in any vocational calling. This is ministry but it's not just for future ministers. It's for future leaders.  

Accredited Courses

We partner with local Universities such as Coastal Alabama College and Pensacola State College so students can get ahead on their accredited general elective course work. We believe future Christian leaders need a quality-accredited education to show themselves approved.

College Scholarship

We don't just say quality education is important. Our money is where our mouth is and we want to invest in you. That's why, for the 2020/2021 year, we are offering a $3,408 scholarship to each student that's accepted. That amount covers tuition costs for 24 credits a year at Faulkner State's tuition rate.

Weekly Stipend

We realize scholarships don't put gas in your car to get you to class. To invest in you even further, all interns start at a $75 per week stipend. Part-time jobs outside of the internship are allowed but are subject to approval.

Learn to Lead

Leadership is influence. At the Island Church internship program you'll learn how to develop, steward, and keep influencing others for God's glory. You will lead real components of real ministries having actual influence on the future of our church. Our hope is that you finish with the confidence of knowing what leaders do and the influence leaders have.

Pastoral Access

Our pastoral leadership team isn't hidden away in an office somewhere. They are regularly accessible for our interns. Just as Jesus was accesible in relationship with His disciples, our pastors are accesible to Island Church interns. We're talking lead pastor and all. We believe church is a team sport and we love playing on a team together.

Applications are due by March 15th, 2020. Applicants must be 17 to 25 years of age. Younger applicants must at least be going into their senior year in the 2020/2021 school year to apply. The next year of the Island Church Internship begins June 1st 2020 and ends June 1st 2021. Not all applicants will be accepted as space is limited.
